After several years at our old premises our lease came to an end. The ETUC and all it's associated projects are now based in the Mansfield Traquair Centre, 15 Mansfield Place, Edinburgh - the big church at the bottom of Broughton Street. Link to map here. The Edinburgh Trade Union Council - ETUC - is the united voice of affiliated trade union branches in the City of Edinburgh (Scotland, UK). Delegates are elected to ETUC by 60 affiliated trade union branches. ETUC holds regular monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of the month.
ETUC:
- Promotes trade union membership.
- Assists trade unions in conducting local and national disputes and campaigns.
- Campaigns on economic and social issues that affect local trade unionists, their families, and communities.
- Acts as the local agents of the STUC (Scottish Trade Union Congress) in implementing Congress policy.
- Takes up issues with our local authority, The City of Edinburgh Council, and with our local Members of Parliament, our Member of the European Parliament, and our members of the Scottish Parliament.
- Develops and carries out projects aimed at promoting fair employment practices and rights at work.
