The Support@Work project is run by Edinburgh TUC and provides training and information on employment rights and trade unions for employability projects and their clients in Edinburgh.

Someone will be able to listen to your concern and then provide advice on how to proceed. You can also join a trade union in your workplace or contact one of the agencies in the 'Other sources of help and support' section below.
Going back to work can be a difficult time for anyone and with changes in legislation what we are entitled to constantly changes too. Support@Work aims to provide training sessions so that staff and clients can update what they know about rates of pay, holiday entitlement, flexible working arrangements and health and safety. Support @work operates in a variety of ways:
- Providing input to training in employment rights to those on preparation for work courses
- Introduction to employment rights and trade unions
- Rights and responsibilities at work
- Flexible and family friendly working practices
- Health and safety at work
- Providing training to staff working in JU4J projects on employment rights topics to assist them in identifying issues and signposting
- Dealing with disclosure issues
- Introduction of new legislation e.g. holiday entitlement
- Employment rights casework in employability work
- Supporting a network of experienced trade union representatives to work alongside Support@Work trainers adding their expertise in the industrial sector and on workplace issues
- Support@work has access to a network of trade unionists who can come along to training sessions a provide in out on work in a variety of different sectors
- Developing partnerships with a wide range of trade unions to raise awareness of employability issues and to enable their participation
- Within the Further Education sector making employment rights awareness and training available to students and guidance staff in further education colleges in the city

Our funding
It is funded by Capital City Partnership with support from City of Edinburgh Council, the STUC and the DELIVER programme as part of the Join up for Jobs initiative supporting those going back into work in the city.
